Bobby Healy is the Founder and CEO of Manna Drone Delivery, an innovative Irish company who is set to deliver food via drones this year. Having initially planned to launch in March with a partnership with JustEat and Camille Thai in the South Dublin area, the COVID-19 lockdown put a halt to the idea. Never one to settle, Bobby is putting his fleet of drones to good use; Manna are now trialing delivering medicines instead of food to help with the current situation, focusing on the vulnerable region of Moneygall in County Offaly.
Bobby's past career is no less exciting than his current position. He started off developing video games at the young age of 17. By his early 20s, Bobby had founded Eland Technologies and moved to Mexico. The sale of this business allowed him to buy into CarTrawler, where he became Co-Owner and CTO of the company, which facilitates over €1.5 billion of transactions annually. He has since transitioned to delivering items via drones by founding Manna, an idea which many deemed unfeasible until recently.
The IGN are excited to have an hour of Bobby's time to chat all things tech, drones, starting a business and anything else of interest.
With a Q&A session at the end, members will also be able to ask him their own questions! We hope you can join us in what is set to be a fantastic event.
