Vlad graduated from UCD in 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce International (Spanish) during which time he spent a year on exchange in Universidad de Salamanca and a year working for a high-growth firm in the City of London.
As an Analyst at Elkstone, Vlad is part of a lean team that invests in early-stage startups in Europe and the US. His main responsibilities include finding high-potential startups, writing investment theses, and conducting due diligence, however, no one day is the same and the work varies greatly. Meeting super interesting people and getting exposure to a broad range of industries and technologies are just some of the things he loves most about his job!
Vlad also had the opportunity to work for several startups in Ireland and the UK across a variety of industries and verticals, including healthcare diagnostics, tech conferences, and online marketplaces.
As a former Dundalk FC and UCD AFC footballer, he tries his best to keep fit and on the rare occasion the sun is shining in Ireland, you’ll find him cycling in the Dublin/Wicklow mountains. Other hobbies outside of work include catching up with friends, reading spy novels or binge-watching series’ on Netflix.
